Authentication

Open SiteSearch WebZ provides you with flexible user authentication at any stage of the search process. A variety of methods are available, including authorization/password and IP address and access control by Domain Name Server (DNS). Additionally, WebZ may be configured to authenticate against your local system’s user file, or other user database.

With WebZ, your library determines user types and creates profiles for these types that can include the number of simultaneous users allowed, the authorized databases, and even the appropriate interface. Users are presented with the resources and service that meet their needs and comply with your library’s policies and license agreements.
