SiteSearch Database Building Introduction
SiteSearch provides tools that allow you to:
Build databases from structured data such as:
- MARC - that has a defined standard structure.
- SGML tagged data - fields that are tagged with a map file (dtd).
Convert this data into BER.
Determine each index, the database size and special optimizing rules for the database.
Use a menu-based tool, load the BER data into a database following your indexing definitions.
