Athens Authentication (implementation)

  1. end user sends HTTP post request (from login form) to CGI
  2. CGI authenticates and validates against Athens
  3. CGI sends new HTTP post request to SiteSearch

    SiteSearch responds

  4. response is parsed and all URLs are made full
  5. new response is passed back to user
  6. user then talks directly to SiteSearch
