• The database build process is the overall process by which your source data is transformed into a searchable database.

  • Step 1: Convert source data to ASN.1/BER format.
  • Step 2: Initialize database files.
  • Step 3: Store ASN.1/BER records and extract index terms.
  • Step 4: Sort extracted index terms.
  • Step 5: Update INDeX structure (INDeX POST, and PDIR) files.
