Robert Smith named Marketing Director
Robert Smith was appointed Manager, Distributed Systems Marketing and Sales Support in October. Robert has been with OCLC in Online Reference Services since 1992, working primarily in marketing, product analysis and product pricing. ALA-MidWinter
plans
Open SiteSearch prepares for the ALA Midwinter conference in San Antonio this January. There are two sessions currently scheduled for SiteSearch users. The User's Group Meeting will be held on Saturday January 15 at 8am. There will also be a session on digitization projects with SiteSearch on Sunday January 16 at 8am. We will post updates and details on all SiteSearch activities in the Community Zone. |

Training Dates
Open SiteSearch announces its year 2000 training schedule through the end of next summer. Classes are divided between Unix-based platforms and the Windows NT platform and are offered in alternate months throughout the year.
WebZ training for
new licensees covers two days. Database Builder training, including training
for the Record Builder application, covers an additional two days. Current
licensees may enroll for classes as space permits
