Background

PALNI, the Private Academic Library Network of Indiana, is a consortium of 26 private colleges, universities and seminaries. Besides providing a centralized, group catalog for the PALNI members, we also provide other services, including a SiteSearch implementation (currently using version 4.0a).

SiteSearch databases include:

Group licensed databases, where access is open to all PALNI members.
Individually licensed databases, where access is limited to specific institutions.
Public-access catalogs, available to anyone.

While we have several library catalogs in our SiteSearch interface, most of our efforts have been focused on configuring for various bibliographic databases, primarily periodical citation but some encyclopedias are included as well.
