Configuring the WebZ Extension

The Open SiteSearch WebZ Extension software serves as a gateway between standard HTTP browsers and Web servers hosting the WebZ software. To access WebZ through a browser, you must configure the WebZ Extension to work with a third party Web server.

Requirements

You must install the Open SiteSearch WebZ Extension and WebZ software before configuring the extension for a specific Web server.

Apache

UNIX

A pre-configured Apache Web server is shipped with the WebZ installation. You do not need to perform any additional configuration steps for the Apache server. If you intend to use a pre-existing Apache server instead of the server configured with WebZ, refer to the Configuring an Existing Apache Web Server to Use the WebZ Extension document.

Netscape

UNIX and Windows NT
