OCLC-led Training Session: WebZ Interlibrary Loan

 

Introduction

As part of the 2000 OCLC SiteSearch User Meeting, OCLC held a specialized UNIX training session for current WebZ users. The training session took place on Monday, May 1.

This training session provide basic information about configuring and operating WebZ's Interlibrary Loan (ILL) functionality. This session explained how to:

  • Define the ILL process as it relates to WebZ
  • Identify two types of requests
  • Locate the default ILL configuration files and describe the purpose of each
  • Describe the sections in the configuration files used in the ILL process
  • Configure a direct request
  • Configure an e-mail request
  • Discuss the composition and role of rules in the ILL process
